Jack's weight check and developmental appointment and cloth diapering!!!

So last week Jack had a weight check and he still isnt on the charts :/ He is about 11 lbs now. He has another weight check on February 22nd!!! Today he had his developmental assessment, we got great news on that! He is a bit behind but because he's so tiny and still in the low normal range and advanced in some areas as of now he doesnt need therapy or intervention which is awesome news!!!!!!! She said if he isnt rolling, sitting, or trying to crawl in about 2-3 months to give her a call back for another assessment. He did roll over once today from tummy to back after the appointment. We recently started cloth diapering over the weekend and so far I am lovin it!!! Its soooo easy. We cut down on diaper costs and another plus is that he can wear 2 pc outfits now without his pants falling off because the cloth diapers are bulky and make his 0/3 mos pants fit without falling off!!!!!!! Sooooo happy about that. And I must say he is super adorable in these cute lil cloth diapers.

Jack is 5 months old

Well everyone baby Jack is 5 months old today, its just so hard to believe! Time is flying by so fast. Im not sure how much he weighs right now but Im guessing pretty close to 11lb and about 24 inches long. He is wearing a size 0/3 mos clothes (some are still too big) and a size 1 diaper, size 0 shoes. He is so sweet and always smiling and laughing and cooing. He isnt starting to sit up on his own yet, he still needs full support. He also isnt rolling over or pushing up on his arms while on his tummy. He sleeps so well, all night, and wakes at about 8 am every morning. He is drinking 5 oz in his bottles every 3-5 hrs. He is starting to learn how to jump in his jumperoo and its so cute to watch him. He has alot of appointments coming up, next week he goes to see a developmental specialist to see if he needs therapy since he isnt rolling or lifting up while on his tummy. February is his 6 month check up and he sees the pediatrician who specializes in preemie and low weight babies. March he sees the nutritionist. He may be small, but to me he's PERFECT!

The other children are doing well, Connor had a fever all last week and it lasted about a week, but he's much better now. Thats about all for now.

Gabes 2 yr check, Connor's apt, Jack's 1st illness, and some other odds n ends

Well I have some great news to start off with! Jack started rolling over from his tummy to his back, he isnt a pro at it yet but he can do it! Im soooo proud. Also he is beginning to lift his head up a little more during tummy time also. And he is getting sooo good at holding his own bottle! Last week he got real fussy and I noticed his mouth had lots of white in it, so I took him to the dr and just as I suspected... Thrush :( He is on nystatin to clear that up. Well he's had a yucky cold and pulling at his ear so back to the dr we went and he has an upper respiratory infection and an ear infection :( my poor baby. He's on amoxicillin for that and hopefully he will clear it up soon. He got a new Fisher Price Precious Planets Jumperoo and he loves it! (for now lol). He is still too small for it so we put a pillow under neath his feet so they will be touching something LOL

Last week Gabe had to go in for a routine ear tube check at the ENT office. Well the dr started using some instruments and pulling lots of yucky stuff out of Gabe's ear. My poor Gabe was screaming and crying and hollering that it hurt. The dr assured me he was ok and was just scared not in any pain (which i knew was a lie). Well after the appointment Gabe was still crying and telling me his ear hurt, and that whole night he was up screaming in pain from his ear. I took him back the next day and the dr proceeded to tell me there was nothing wrong with him and me asking for some pain meds or ear drops to numb the pain in his ear he told me it was all unnecesary, then wanted to dig in his ear with that instrument again so I said no unless you numb his ear first then the dr told me that if I wouldnt let him do his job, we had no reason to be there and to leave!!!!!!! I complained and wrote a letter and they switched Gabe to another ENT the one that Nick sees. He has an appointment with him tomorrow.

Today Gabe had his 2 year check up and was 27.5 lbs and 33 3/4 inches tall. They were telling me how advanced he is with his talking skills lol. They said he's a very smart little boy :) Proud mama :) Connor had to go back to have his ADD meds changed since the vyvanse made him cry way too much. They put him on concerta so we are going to try that over the weekend and see how he does on that. After the appointments my mom, Gabe, Jack and I went to eat lunch at Ryans :) yummy! HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012

Well everyone we had a wonderful new year and we are now in the year 2012. Last year was so great to me, all of us are healthy and I got a brand new precious addition, my tiny hayden jack. I really hope this year is just as wonderful. We had a great time, we had a ton of family over on New year's eve (which made 1 year since I found out I was pregnant with Jack). We had a bonfire and we all gathered around it, had some music going and were roasting hot dogs and marshmallows and also making s'mores. It was great. Connor and Gabe got tired after awhile and went inside and fell asleep. Nick and Jack stayed up. When it got close to midnight we went inside and watched the ball drop and Im so glad at least Nick and Jack stayed up to bring it in with us. New Years day mom, jack, and I went out to breakfast with Granny, Christine, and Dalton at Ryan's. Then we came home and just spent the day here. We had some good ole greens and black eyed peas, which I hope brings me tons of money and good fortune. But as long as we all stay happy and healthy thats good enough fortune for me! Since this was Jack's 1st New years he was dressed in a cute long sleeve onesie that said Happy New Year 2012 :) We wish everyone a very happy and healthy New year 2012.

Sorry Im late, Jack's 4 month check up and my Birthday

Here is Jacks apt. update:

Well back from Jack's 4 month well check up. He is in the 5th percentile for head circ, 5th percentile for height, and he only weighs 10 lbs :( He was in the 5th percentile for weight but now he has fallen way off the charts, he isnt even in a percentile. The pedi was asking me stuff like do you feed him enough and can you afford his formula etc, that made me mad!!! ugh :( Then she was like you need to hold him when you feed him and not prop his bottle up, I was like I do. Then she said he was very smart, alert, and verbal for his age, but he is behind in other milestones and said it was my fault for not giving him enough tummy time!!!!!!!! I had to say a few words at the end of the apt. and now Im got in to see a new pedi at the office who deals with alot of preemie and underweight babies and is suppose to be a great pedi , and I also am waiting on a call from a nutritionist and growth and development specialist. I think they knew I didnt like that pedi when I left there because I let them know and then they got things done. He also got 3 shots :(

He is so tiny, He is in some newborn clothes (the sleepers are too small and the pants fit in the waist but are too short on him) and some 0/3 months. They have to be made skinny and small though. We just now switched from size newborn diapers to size 1, not because they are too small but because the newborn diapers dont hold urine from a 4 month old lol, the ones are still big but do hold better. He still doesnt like bath time but he is beginning to teethe.He loves to eat and we have started a tiny bit of solids, not too much though because since he's small we want all the calories he can get and his formula has lots of them!He is drinking 4-5 oz every 3-5 hrs. He isnt rolling over yet, but is starting to lift his head some during tummy time. He is sleeping all night, and Im so greatful for that. He is such a sweet happy, baby, always laughing and cooing and smiling, and talking, I couldnt ask for a better little boy.

My birthday was also the same day on December 27th, I got surprised with a beautiful birthday cake that said Happy Birthday mom from the boys and I also got a sweet birthday card from them. I am so blessed, I love my family <3
